In 2000, a French and a Belgian guy met together in the Art University of Lausanne ECAL (école cantonale d'art de Lausanne ) in Switzerland.
During their studies in the MID (Media & Interaction Design) field, both collaborated in an active way on a few projects. They worked as well on video clips as interactive games but always related to a childish period.

After some connections with great artists such as FUR, H5, Ryota Kuwakubo and a huge success in Japan for their COMMOTION project, Alexandre Armand, the French guy (born on 04.04.80 in France) and Bram Dauw, the Belgian (born on 04.06.80 in Belgium) decided to found “francobelge design” in 2003.

They worked so far on many projects such as an interactive game project for NHK TV in Japan and musical and institutional video clips for singer Hanin Elias or architects Decosterd & R.

Francobelge design also travels the world to promote their work in lots of Art Festivals such as Ars Electronica in 2004.
